Crescent Guides' annual campfire is coming, and that's the reason for my nostalgia. I think I have always been looking forward to guide meetings after attaining my Gold badge cause we would just simply slack around (:
The campfire last year was such a burning success I don't mind turning the time wheel back and doing everything all over again. The programme sheets were pretty, the entrance booth was pretty, we had a beautiful banner and wonderful souvenirs which we painstakingly painted with eggshells.
Wonderful wonderful memories.
Of all that was most important was the people that I shared all these memories with. 4 years of guiding with them gave me many wonderful memories, and I've made good friends through my CCA.
Even though we're always said to have the lousiest marching of all uniformed groups in Crescent (and I do not deny that), but so what? The most important thing is to have gained and learned from your 4 years of CCA experience.
I remember we did countless of flag days. For all that we have gone except for one, we slacked, majorly. We would walk around in Town, visit the Esplanade Library, go for long lunch breaks, take neoprints, and return with but a few coins that came out from our own pockets.
When we took over the company there was a certain amount of stress and mondays and thursdays were always late days when we would get home at seven and still have a pile of schoolwork and stuff to be done.
Even though we meet twice a week, and even though we might not be as bonded as the NCC girls are, I still love my fellow sister guides. They are really really sweet people.
Piao piao, Ah Nae, Pi, Sher, Shi Yun, Sophia, Lydia, Ge Yi, Nicole, Jess, Vivien, Pei Qi etc. They made my CCA experience really really wonderful.
Thank you, 사랑해요 (:
